Wisława Szymborska 1923 - 2012
one of the most prominent and best-known Polish poets (her poems have been translated into over 40 languages), winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature (1996); also active as an essayist, translator, reviewer, and literary columnist, notably famous for her collage postcards and for organizing lotteries with extraordinary curiosa as prizes.
