2017, tapestry woven around a circle, diameter 150 cm
Marta Sobczynska
Entwined
“Entwined” is a round rug made from the clothes of people close to the artist. It symbolizes how our lives are intertwined and how inextricably linked we are.
The work was woven around a circle: from the centre to the outside, giving it depth and fleshiness, and at the same time, it was an interesting technological challenge.
